Rev. D. Mohan is the Senior Pastor and Co-founder of the New Life Assemblies of God, Chennai, for the past 48 years. Hailing from a small town, he commenced his Christian journey in 1968 when he was just 21 years old. Upon attaining his theological degree from Southern Asia Bible College (SABC) in Bangalore, he had the opportunity to pastor a small church there. God's calling was in Chennai and all through his ministry, Rev. Mohan knew that as long as he stayed under God's guidance, God would fulfill his promise. Thus, the church, which had a humble beginning, grew from 7 people to 50,000 people as the Spirit of the Lord moved mightily. Relentless prayers, faith and effective partnership have been instrumental in establishing this church.

Rev. D. Mohan is presently the Acting Chairman of the World Assemblies of God. He is the Ex-General Superintendent of All India Assemblies of God which he served dutifully for 18 long years. He is also the Chairman of the National Prayer and church planting initiative, which is involved in prayer ministry, leadership development and church planting. He was the first pastor to receive the Bill bright Leadership Award, which was awarded to him by Global Pastors Network. Rev. D. Mohan received an Honorary Doctorate for Ministries from the Southern Asia Bible College, Bangalore, India in the month of March 2009.

Rev. D. Mohan is married to Getzial and they are blessed with three children and six grandchildren. Their sons, Pastor Chadwick Samuel and Pastor Benjamin Clifford serve alongside him at NLAG.
