Dear church leaders and believers around the world, Grace and peace to you in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ.

Church Growth International (CGI) began in 1976 under the visionary leadership of the late Rev. Dr. David Yonggi Cho, who was deeply committed to the work of the Holy Spirit, the healthy growth of the Church, and the evangelization of the world. For the past fifty years, CGI has faithfully served churches by upholding the essence of the gospel, empowering leaders, and advancing God’s mission among the nations.

This journey has never been the work of one individual or one generation alone. Rather, it has been built upon the prayers, obedience, and sacrificial dedication of countless pastors and believers who responded to God’s calling. As we look back with gratitude on the past half century, we also stand at the threshold of a new season, listening attentively to God’s call for the next generation.

In this context, the CGI 50th Anniversary Conference, to be held this October, carries special significance. It is more than a celebration of the past; it is a sacred milestone that invites us to reaffirm our vision and renew our commitment for the next fifty years. This gathering will bring together church leaders from around the world to rediscover the unchanging gospel and to seek, under the guidance of the Holy Spirit, God’s direction for the future of the Church and global mission.

I trust that God, who began this good work, will surely bring it to completion, I extend my deepest gratitude to all who have walked with CGI on this journey.
