Oral Roberts Evangelistic Association established its first official headquarters in Tulsa, Oklahoma in 1947. Dr. Oral Roberts conducted healing tent meetings around the world and in 1955 took his healing services to primetime live television.
Richard felt the call to minister at the age of 19 and joined his father in the healing ministry. Today, Richard Roberts, B.A., M.A., D. Min., is the Chairman and CEO of Richard Roberts Ministries and also served as President of Oral Roberts University from 1993 to 2007.
God put a dream in Richard's heart of reaching the nations of the earth for Jesus and has given him a mandate to teach the foundational principles of the Bible-healing, the Holy Spirit and seedtime and harvest or seed-faith. Richard has ministered God's healing power in 39 nations spanning six continents with a tremendous move of the Spirit, resulting in all types of physical, mental, emotional, financial, and spiritual healings. Richard says, "Jesus was born to step into a world of trouble and bring healing and deliverance, and that's the call of God upon my own life—to reach out to people in their troubles and heartaches, to pray and believe God, and to bring them His Word of hope and healing."
Richard now focuses on his Greater Works international pastors conferences where he teaches and trains pastors in underdeveloped nations to take the full gospel with miracles, healing and signs following to their villages, cities, and nations, as Jesus said in John 14:12.
Richard and his wife, Lindsay, also co-host The Place for Miracles—a half-hour inspirational TV broadcast that reaches out to millions worldwide ministering in the power of the Holy Spirit, praying for those who need a miracle of healing in some area of their lives. In addition, Richard hosts a weekly podcast, Expect a Miracle, with fascinating in-depth interviews with pastors, ministers and Christian leaders.
In 2010, Richard founded the Richard Roberts School of Miracles which offers online Bible courses to help equip Christians with practical, hands-on experience in applying God's Word and His healing power in their own lives and in the lives of others, especially emphasizing how Christians can enjoy a life empowered by the Holy Spirit. Richard has also authored a number of publications and other inspirational material, including God's Healing Touch, Your Road to a Better Life, Unstoppable Increase, He's A Healing Jesus, Thrive—Eliminating Lack from Your Life and more.
Richard and Lindsay have three daughters and reside in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
